CS2 eDPI calculator
eDPI (effective DPI) = mouse DPI × in-game sensitivity — the standard way to compare CS2 aim speed between players regardless of their DPI.

What is eDPI?
Raw sensitivity numbers are meaningless on their own: sens 2.0 at 400 DPI moves exactly as fast as sens 1.0 at 800 DPI. Multiplying the two normalises the DPI away — both players are at 800 eDPI. That makes eDPI the number to quote when comparing settings between CS2 players. It does NOT carry across games: CS2 turns 0.022° per count and Valorant 0.07°, so 800 CS2 eDPI equals about 251 Valorant eDPI.
Most professional CS2 players sit roughly between 600 and 1400 eDPI, but the spread is huge and copying a number does not copy the grip, arm technique and desk space behind it. eDPI describes your speed; it does not decide the right one for you.
Is my eDPI high or low?
As a rough map at 1400+ eDPI you are on the fast side, common for wrist-heavy aimers with small pads; 800–1400 is the broad middle; below 600 is slow, arm-driven aim that needs desk room. All three can work — what matters is whether your flicks systematically overshoot or undershoot at that speed.
Stop guessing, measure
AimFinder exists because the right eDPI is measurable: upload a match replay or run the 10-minute in-browser test, and the number is derived from where your flicks actually land.
eDPI FAQ
What is a good eDPI for CS2?
There is no single good value — pros span roughly 600 to 1400 eDPI and outliers win majors outside that range. If your first movements systematically fly past targets your eDPI is too high for you; if they always stop short it is too low. That personal bias, not a chart, is the criterion.
Does DPI itself matter if the eDPI is the same?
Slightly. Higher DPI (800–1600) samples the sensor more finely, reducing pixel-skipping at low in-game sens, which is why most current pros run 800 or 1600 DPI with a lower sensitivity. Pick one DPI, keep it fixed, and tune the in-game value only.
How do I change my sensitivity in CS2?
Open the console and type sensitivity followed by the value (for example: sensitivity 1.25), or use Settings → Keyboard & Mouse → Mouse Sensitivity. The console accepts any decimal precision.
